Custom apparel gets most of the attention, but branded merchandise is often the better tool for the job, especially when the goal is staying visible after the event ends or the meeting wraps up. Here's a practical guide to what to order, when, and what to expect on minimums and turnaround.
What's actually available
We source and brand products across eight main categories: drinkware (tumblers, water bottles, mugs, koozies), bags and totes (canvas totes, drawstring bags, backpacks, cooler bags), pens and writing instruments, tech accessories (chargers, USB drives, earbuds), notebooks and journals, office and desk items (mouse pads, desk organizers, calendars), gift sets and kits, and outdoor/event gear (sunglasses, umbrellas, lanyards, banners). Between those categories there are thousands of individual products to choose from, decorated by print, engrave, emboss, or deboss depending on the item.
Minimums and turnaround and what to actually expect
Unlike apparel, promo product minimums vary by item and decoration method rather than following one flat number. Some products start as low as 25 pieces, while others require 100 or more, we'll confirm the exact minimum when you request a quote on a specific item. Turnaround is also different from apparel: most promo orders run 2–4 weeks from artwork approval, so if you're working toward an event date, it's worth starting that conversation early rather than the week before.
Samples are available on many items before you commit to a full order, either a blank physical sample shipped to you, or a virtual mockup showing your logo on the product.
Matching the product to the occasion
A few patterns show up again and again with customers ordering promo:
- Trade shows and events: tumblers, totes, pens, lanyards, and stress balls are the standbys, items people pick up at a booth and actually keep, which keeps your name circulating after the show.
- Employee onboarding: welcome kits built around notebooks, water bottles, and branded apparel give new hires something tangible on day one, and bundling apparel with promo keeps the whole kit cohesive.
- Client gifts and appreciation: gift boxes, premium drinkware, tech gifts, and journals read as more considered than a generic promo giveaway, which matters when the goal is the relationship, not just the impression.
Bundle it with your apparel order
If you're already ordering screen-printed, embroidered, or DTF apparel from us, adding matching promo products to the same order keeps everything under one shop, one point of contact, and one delivery, rather than juggling separate vendors and separate timelines for shirts versus merch.
Not sure where to start? Tell us about your event, audience, and budget, and we'll put together a curated shortlist rather than a giant catalog to sort through. See the full promo products overview or request a quote, we're at 17770 NE Riverside Pkwy in Portland, OR.
